2. Elena and Eugene are alike because they both like to read and attend the same school. They differ because Eugene is in honors classes and lives in a house while Elena lives in an apartment and is puerto rican.
3.  The end of page 567 could be summarized by Eugene and Elena finally becoming friends.
4.  The first column of page 568 reflects the heritage as Elena being puerto rican and is a senorita now that she's 14 years old and they travel back to puerto rico when there's  a death in the family. The attitude of the writer is angry because she believes that her mother is vigilant but she is also happy to be friends with Eugene and dying to go into his house.
5. The significance of Mr. DePalma's behavior is that he is caring and cares about the society. His behavior says he's sentimental and gets angry fast when in a sad situation.
