I would summarize the end of the story by saying that the girl Elena was very happy that she was going to be able to go over the Eugene's house even though the president was just killed and everyone that surrounded her was sad and shock. Her mother than told her that she was unable to go over Eugene's house and Elena couldn't understand why. everyone that surrounded Elena was very sad and spaced out, they didn't want to make a lot of noises. Only because soon they knew that they all would have to return back to where ever it is they came from.
